The Data Extractor Tool (DET) enables you to extract data from saved RiverWare model files, often through MRM runs. It can be difficult to know in advance which slots will be of interest. Rather than re-simulate the entire multiple runs or open each saved model to generate additional output, the DET extracts additional output from model files. Initially, supported was provided for MRM per-trace model files and RDF output. For more information, see Extract Data From MRM Per-Trace Model Files in Solution Approaches.

This second phase supports arbitrary model files and Excel DMI output. For example, you might have a set of operations models that you create every day and now want to pull out some additional data to an Excel file. Instead of opening each model, you can set up the DET to automate the process.
