Types of Output
The following list gives the available types of outputs.
• Quick Plots: In certain windows, like the Slot and Object windows, show a plot of the selected slot data. From a quick plot, create a Plot Page as needed. See Quick Plots for more information.
• Output Devices created in the Output Manager
The Output Manager allows you to create output devices to view output and model information in various ways:
– Plot Page: A plot within RiverWare showing various forms of data in a user configured layout. See Plot Page.
– RiverWare Data File (RDF): create an external file using RDF format. See Creating RDF and CDF data files.
– Comma-Delimited File: create an external file with one line per slot using commas as delimiters. See Creating RDF and CDF data files.
– Comma-Separated Values File: create an external file with one line per timestep value using commas as delimiters. See Creating a Comma-separated Values File.
– Excel File: create an external Excel file. See Creating an Excel Spreadsheet.
– Tabular Series Slot Reports: Create an external HTML or text file that shows series data as tabular values. See Creating a Tabular Series Slot Report.
– Model Report: Create an external HTML file that shows information about the model, the data, the policy, or other output devices. See Creating a Model Report.
– Charts: Create a pie chart within RiverWare. See Creating a Chart.
– Output Canvas: Create a highly customized canvas that can show teacup diagrams and other data visualization diagrams. See Creating an Output Canvas.
• Data Analysis Tool: The Data Analysis Tool (DAT) is used to perform complex data analysis and visualization, including analysis of RDF results of multiple run traces and creation of multiple linear regressions of series slots. See Data Analysis Tool (DAT) for more information.
• Snapshots: Preserve a copy of a set of slots for a given run. These slots are saved on a special data object created by the Snapshot Manager. Snapshots are useful to examining the results of alternate scenarios as they are the primary way to preserve results between runs. See Snapshots for more information.
• Scenario Manager: The Scenario Manager allows editing of a small portion of a RiverWare model without affecting the integrity of a baseline model. See Scenario Management for more information.
